Mezzanine offices across Cumbria: free survey, structural design, Building Regulations approval and a fixed written quote. A mezzanine office puts staff accommodation on a steel mezzanine inside your industrial building, with partitions, ceilings, lighting, heating and fire protection fitted to the structure.
Mezzanine offices for Cumbria businesses
Distribution sheds around Carlisle often run out of floor before they run out of height. A storage mezzanine over packing, returns or small-parts picking can add hundreds of square metres without a move, with pallet gates placed where forklifts already work. Carlisle has older industrial buildings and mills where a mezzanine has to work around existing columns, varying floor levels and slabs of unknown thickness, so a careful slab check comes first.
Typical work we price in Cumbria includes storage and picking mezzanines in distribution units, mezzanines in older industrial buildings. Cumbria is in the North West, around 147 miles from our Birmingham base on average.
What the job includes
- Coordination of power, data, heating and ventilation
- Glazed and solid partitions, doors and ironmongery
- Fire-rated ceiling, column casings and fascia to Building Control
- Staircase designed as an escape route
Questions people ask
Do you cover all of Cumbria?
Yes. We provide mezzanine offices across Cumbria, including Carlisle and Kendal, and nearby areas such as County Durham, Tyne and Wear and Lancashire.
Can you install a warehouse mezzanine near Carlisle without stopping despatch?
Yes. We fence off the work zone, deliver steel at agreed times, and phase the build so picking and despatch keep running.
Is planning permission needed for a mezzanine office?
Usually not, because it is internal work, but Building Regulations approval is required. Check your lease, and the council if the building is listed or the change alters how the building is used.
Can you fit out the office as well?
Yes. We can hand over a shell or a finished office with partitions, glazing, ceilings, lighting and power, coordinated with your own M&E contractor if you have one.
