Mezzanine relocation and reconfiguration in Surrey
We provide mezzanine relocation throughout Surrey, from Guildford to Redhill, for warehouses, factories, shops and industrial units. Mezzanine relocation means dismantling an existing bolted steel mezzanine, moving it and re-erecting it in a new building or a new layout, adding or removing bays as needed.
Mezzanine relocation for Surrey businesses
Business parks and industrial estates around Redhill see steady demand for mezzanine offices: staff space and meeting rooms built inside the unit rather than in an extension. Retail units and trade counters in Epsom add mezzanines for stockrooms, staff space or extra sales floor. Where customers go upstairs we design for public use, and in England we check the 200 m² planning rule early.
Typical work we price in Surrey includes mezzanine offices in industrial units, stockroom and sales-floor mezzanines, workshop and storage mezzanines. Surrey is in the South East, around 109 miles from our Birmingham base on average.
What the job includes
- Building Regulations approval at the new site
- Transport and re-erection
- New deck, stairs, gates or fire protection where needed
- Sequenced dismantling with tagged components
Questions people ask
Do you cover all of Surrey?
Yes. We provide mezzanine relocation across Surrey, including Guildford, Woking, Epsom and Redhill, and nearby areas such as Greater London, West Sussex and Berkshire.
How quickly can you build a mezzanine office in Redhill?
After design and approval, the steel and fire protection usually take one to two weeks on site, and partitions, ceilings and services two to four more depending on size.
Does a relocated mezzanine need Building Regulations approval?
Yes. It is treated as new work in its new location, and may need fire protection, stairs or guarding that the original did not have.
Is it worth moving a mezzanine?
Often, yes, for well-kept bolted mezzanines. Reusing the steel can save a large part of the cost of new, but the new building, load and regulations must suit it.
